Hello! This is a listing for an original watercolor painting of Portland's Chapman Swifts.
Every year, for the month of September you can see these swifts start circling the Chapman School chimney around sunset. There are thousands of them. They dive into the chimney where they sleep all night. It's quite a sight to see and many people pack a picnic and sit on the lawn outside the school to watch it.
This original watercolor painting is painted on a heavy, archival, watercolor paper. I've used watercolor paint, pencil and ink to create this one of a kind painting. It measures 8x10" and is signed and dated on the front.
It ships to you in a protective plastic sleeve with a sturdy backing board. It is also mailed in a stay flat mailer for further protection from bending.
